"I believe the drawing should live, be worn and cuddled up with. The thread is a line, the fabric is a drawing. Extending from my artistic practice, each piece is a one of a kind creation." —Nadège Roscoe-Rumjahn, founder and artist
FOR THE LOVE OF BLANKIES
All pieces are thoughtfully designed by artist Nadege Roscoe-Rumjahn, whose roots in architecture and contemporary jewelry led her to an MFA at Cranbrook Academy of Art. She founded La Douzaine in 2017 using playful patterns and strong graphics that transform everyday textiles into art for the home.
A DEDICATED PROCESS
A daily drawing ritual is the only consistent element of the process that characterizes every edition. Once sketches are made, La Douzaine searches for the perfect technique to translate 2D moments into physical objects. Pieces are either hand-woven in the studio or created in partnership with small independant mills in the US and UK.
